We at ivalueSafety.com want to share a video regarding identifying hazardous trees. A hazardous tree is when a tree converts from an asset into a liability. A target is a person or property that can be struck by either a whole, or part of a falling tree. High target areas are your house yards, parks and school properties etc. that are highly frequented by people. Any tree can fail at anytime, but there are some best management practices to avoid failure.
Monitoring trees after each storm event and having your trees inspected annually by a certified tree professional will decrease the probability of a target strike. Approximately 100 people are killed each year and many more injured by falling trees. Click on the image below to view a video regarding some indicators of hazardous trees.
